LNCS Transactions on Rough Sets (TRS Journal)

 


TRS volume 1

 		 The LNCS  Transactions on Rough Sets (TRS) journal subline is an outgrowth of the pioneering work on rough sets by Zdzisław Pawlak and many others during the past 25 years. The TRS has as its principal aim the fostering of professional exchanges between scientists and practitioners who are interested in the foundations and applications of rough sets.  This journal is devoted to the entire spectrum of issues related to rough sets, from logical and mathematical foundatiuons, through all the aspects of rough set theory and its applications, such as data mining, knowledge discovery, and intelligent information processing, to relations between rough sets and other approaches to uncertainty, vagueness, and incompleteness, such as fuzzy sets and the theory of evidence.  Articles that appear in the TRS include foundations and applications of rough sets as well as foundations and applications of hybrid methods combining rough sets with other approaches important for development of intelligent systems.

The TRS Journal welcomes submissions

The TRS journal includes high-quality research articles accepted for publication on the basis of thorough peer reviews.  Dissertations and monographs up to 250 pages that include new research results can also be considered as regular papers.  Extended and revised versions of selected papers from conferences can also be included in regular or special issues of the journal.

It is highly recommended for the authors of papers submitted to the Transactions on Rough Sets that they
read and follow Guidelines for Authors.
The complete guidelines bundle (zipped) contains the PDF example as well as source in LaTeX, together with all neccessary style files. It is advisable to use these source files as an example to follow while preparing your own submission to TRS.

 Online Submission

The submission and evaluation of contributions to TRS Journal is now possible online.  Please follow the author registration steps in online submission system to submit a paper to the TRS Journal. 

Proposals for TRS Special Issues

The TRS journal welcomes proposals for Special Issues that carry forward research in the foundations and applications of rough sets in highly focused research areas. For details on the requirements for preparing a proposal for TRS Special Issue, refer to the Special Issue Proposals Guidelines (PDF).

The complete Special Issue Guidelines bundle (zipped) that includes the PDF example as well as the source in LaTeX.
